My New Year Resolution

What's your New Year Resolution? many people will ask this question at the end of each year.
Many of us will have a list of the things we want to accomplish for the new year to come.
Most of this things that made it to the list will have something to do with our physical appearance or with those healthy habits we want to change.

As the time goes by, we loose track of what was it that we were planning to accomplish, or we get too busy, or we get too distracted by the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.

It is very hard to try to accomplish many things when we are not equip with the right tools to have successful results.
As we plan for the future we should consider God's help, with Him everything is possible, even to lose those few pounds that we don't need to carry around; Yes, God is a loving God who wants us to be happy and have the desires of our hearts.
That is why, when I make a plan I try to include Him; Yes, I want His approval and blessings to everything I do and I plan to do in the future.
With out Him, my plans are too hard to accomplished.

The Bible tells us, not to rely in ourselves, we don't have the power to grant all out desires;
The Bible tells us, to trust in God, that all things are possible with God;
The Bible tells us, that we don't have to stop smoking, exercise and doing diets out our own efforts;
The Bible tells us, as longer we have Faith God can give us the will to keep going and to reach our goals.

This year resolution should be an exited one, the one you are going to let God take control of and to guide you, and give you the tools (which are in the Bible)
Have Faith and you will be surprised to see how much your habits and life style can change.

The Angel Gabriel Visits Mary

Luke 1:26-38
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”[c]

Our Savior has borne

 1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,[a] who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “ Glory to God in the highest,
      And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

God Still Guides the Way


Exodus 13:20-22

20 So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

I believe that God still goes before us the ones who walk with Him.
I believe that God doesn't change, He is the same, yesterday, today and always.
I believe if we walk with Him, He will never depart from us.
I believe in the Old Testament and I believe in the New Testament.
Jesus didn't come to obsolete the Old Testament, He came to fulfill the Prophecies of the Old Testament.

Almighty God, when the way is blocked before me and an army of circumstances closes in behind me, help me to stand by faith, looking to You to open a way. Lord, I want to follow You, asking You to lead me where my enemies cannot go, in Jesus' name, Amen.

IS THE BIBLE IMPORTANT?


The Bible is probably the most maligned Book that ever has been written. It has been attacked as no other book has ever been attacked. Yet it has ministered and does minister to literally millions of people around the globe, and it has been doing this now for several thousand years. A Book of this nature and with this tremendous impact upon the human family certainly deserves the intelligent consideration of men and women.
Sir Walter Scott, on his deathbed, asked Lockhart to read to him. Puzzled, as he scanned the shelf of books that Walter Scott had written, he asked, “What book shall I read?” And Sir Walter replied, “Why do you ask that question? There is but one book; bring the Bible.” There is only one Book for any man who is dying, but it is also the Book for any man who is living. A great many folk do not get interested in the Bible until they get to the end of their lives or until they get into a great deal of difficulty. While it is wonderful to have a Book in which you can find comfort in a time like that, it is also a Book for you to live—in the full vigor of life. It is a Book to face life with today, and it’s the Book which furnishes the only sure route through this world and on into the next world. It is the only Book that can enable us to meet the emergencies and cushion the shocks that come to us in life. The Bible is different from any other book.
That this Book has influenced great men who, in turn, have influenced the world is evident. Let me share with you some quotations.
There was an African prince who came to England and was presented to Her Majesty Queen Victoria. This prince asked a very significant question, “What is the secret of England’s greatness?” The queen got a beautifully bound copy of the Bible and presented it to the prince with this statement, “This is the secret of England’s greatness.” I wonder, friend, if England’s decline to a second-rate and then third-rate nation may be tied up in the fact that England has gotten away from the Word of God.
It was Daniel Webster who made this statement, “If there be anything in my style or thoughts to be commended, the credit is due to my kind parents for instilling into my mind an early love of the Scriptures.” What about you today, Christian parent? Are you making a Daniel Webster in your home or a little rebel? Webster also made this statement, “I have read it [the Bible] through many times. I now make a practice of going through it once a year. It is the Book of all others for lawyers as well as divines. I pity the man who cannot find in it a rich supply of thought and rules for conduct.”

Outreach in the community

We had the Mira Mesa fair today, the weather was great and people came to have fun.
This was a great opportunity for my church to reach out to people who are looking for some comfort in this world, we want to let them know that we are in this community and that we are whiling to help them.
It is always great honor to help and serve this way, our hope is that people can come and know that we are a family who can help them in everything we can.

Teach the whole truth and nothing but the truth

I heard a pastor saying that as longer Catholics agreed that Jesus is the son of God, they are on the right path.
I wonder if this pastor was right in answering this question just like that, without going deeper into God's word to help the questioner to understand that God requires more from us to be save.
I know what I'm saying, I was Catholic from the time I was born till I was 33 years old.
So lets ask the Bible what God's tells us about the following:

-What about the used of statues?...

Exodus 20:4
4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 

-What about putting the virgin Mary before Jesus?


John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

-What about having many status of saints?


1 Kings 14:9
9 but you have done more evil than all who were before you, for you have gone and made for yourself other gods and molded images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back—
Hosea 13:2
Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it is the work of craftsmen. They say of them, “ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!” 

-What about confessing your sins to a priest waiting for his absolution?

1 John 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 
Colossians 1:14
 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

-What about repeating the rosary many, many times?  

Mathew 6:7
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 


-What about celibacy for all priests and nuns 

1 Corinthians 7:9


9 but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 

I just want to know how much is too much to teach each other the true word of God.
We have a purpose in this life and that is to go all over the world to teach the true word of God, even if that means been caste out like a leper.

It's never too late


It is never too late to return to God, the enemy will try to make us believed that God won't take us back because we are bad and we don't deserve His love. God's word tell us that He will never forsakes us and that He will meet us wherever we are at.

with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
 13and rend your hearts and not your garments."
Return to the LORD your God,

Foot Prints in the Sand

Do you wonder why is there so much evil in the world? Where is God when you need Him the most?

When my brother was kill, I wondered why God let this happened! The pain was great. I thought that God didn't care. I keep blaming Him for all the bad things that had happened to us.

God was working on making a bad situation became a shower of blessings for me and my family...I didn't know that at the time.

When we look back at such times we can often see the gentle hand of God at work. We are never alone when we walk with God.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.


When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.


He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."


The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Attracted to Holiness and Purity


How I rejoiced when I became a mom for a first time, second time and third time. Every pregnancy and every child where different from one another.
As the time went by, everyone of my children started having their own personality, they are different from one another.
I have learned to take different approaches with each of them, one thing that I do, no matter which of my children I’m talking to, is that I always tell them the way things are, I never lie to them to make the truth look nice. My children know right from wrong, I always tell them that God is always watching them, even if they are in their room with the door locked.

-When my older son was in High School was very cautious of whom he will make friend  with, I believe that God has giving him the spirit of discernment, plus the advises from us his parents, right now he is happily married and serving our great nation.

-My younger son has a mind of his own, he is very different than his older brother, that doesn’t stop us, my husband and I have to work a little bit harder in teaching him right from wrong. He is sixteen and he loves the Lord Jesus Christ, he plays bass for the Lord at our church. I believed that the seed have been planted in his heart...that makes me very happy and gives peace to my heart because I know that whatever he does and wherever he goes, Jesus is with him for ever!

-My daughter is the youngest of the three, she is now thirteen going fourteen :( she is going to high school this coming year :( she still my baby :)
My daughter is very mature and modest, she doesn’t like skimpy cloth that teens wear these days. She is not like this just by accident, she is like this because she loves the Lord Jesus Christ, plus her parents teachings and advices.

Not only teach your children holy and pure, be an example to them that they may follow mom and dad’s good teachings.

We need to pray for our children to be attracted to holiness and purity like a magnet, so that when anything entices them that isn’t holy and pure, they detect the pull immediately and are made uncomfortable enough to thoroughly reject it.

Lord, I pray that You would fill my three children with a love for You that surpasses their love for anything or anyone else. Help them to respect revere Your laws and understand  that they are there for their benefit. May them clearly see that when Your laws are disobeyed, life doesn’t work. Feel their hearts so that there is no attraction to sin.

I need prayer!


There are some days when is very hard for me to accept people for who they are; this brings a lot of bitterness and sadness into my life. Some times I think that it is me the one who does something that annoys people, if that's the reason I want God to forgive me!


I don't want negative words to get to my heart, but when those negative words come from my own family, it feels like a slap on my face and a punch on my stomach. I should be accustomed to this ups and downs of my family members, but every time it happens, it feels like if it was the first time....I'd always hope that God will changed their heart and their mouths...I'll keep on waiting!

Lord, give me patience to accept the way things are right now, and give me the hope the one day we all know how to get alone with one another. I pray that you will bless my family the same way You have blessed me. I know that they are trying to follow you and I know that it is very hard for them to change after so many years of pain.
Lord, I trust in you and I know that you hear my prayers and I know that it will be in your time!

God has created all things....

Sweet


It is a beautiful Saturday morning, I'm seating in my car waiting for my daughter, the birds are singing, the morning breeze is cool and refreshing for the soul.
I'm thanking God for giving us another beautiful day even dough we don't deserve it anymore!
I'm deep in my thoughts when all of the sudden this big black crow landed right in-front of my car, I noticed that he is holding a french fried on one of his foot, I thought to my self "where did he get that?".  
Later I realized that he has landed right in-front of my car because there was a poodle of water and he needed the water to dipped the fried...I guess the fried was too hard for him to eat! What he did next is what amazed me…he went and dipped the fried in the water, but the fried came back floating so he put his foot to hold it down, after a few seconds he took it out the water and took a bite, at this time two other crows came to try to get some of the fried, but the crow with the fried didn't want to share so what he did was he put the fried back in the water again looked at the other two crows and then he started to eat the fried while it was in the water, when he was done he took a glance to the other two crows like saying "there! I ate it all!" and he flew away.

Many people have a wrong idea about crows, some people think that they are ugly, scary and useless, but what they don't realized is that crows have been created by the same Creator who created all things. 


THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL CREATION AS WE LOOK AROUND US WE ARE AMAZED AT THE GREATNESS AND MAJESTY OF ALL THE YOU HAVE MADE. AMEN!!!

Using God's name...

Under the law of Moises it was made not to be used God's name in vain.

Exodus 20:7
"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold [him] guiltless who takes His name in vain"

It seem that people these days have forgotten this Commandment...it sad me to say that I see this happening more and more everywhere, people are using God's name for their own gain and self-gratification or the most common, taking credit for others hard work!


I can see that church it's at fault, these days churches are too scare to teach God's word the way those words are written in the Bible. Churches these days care about the number of members they have, it seems like this is the new priority for them. It is not sufficient to be religious! False religion is idolatry, and the idolatry of unbelief spread like a pestilent plague throughout the land.

It is time for us to make a change, our country needs strong churches to face the challenges that are to come. Our country needs to be strong! not only physically but spiritually.

When you see someone taking advantage of God's name, do not celebrate what they do because you will be the same as they are.

Lord, I pray that you will speak to the ones that are in high position to reform the way your word has been tough in our churches. Lord, I pray that we all are going to be accountable to each other to grow strong in your word...AMEN

Happy Father's Day

My Father was an alcoholic person, who put my mother through hardship from the beginning.
They had 4 children together which one of them die at birth, the doctor told my mother that the baby had die of heart failure, he told my father that he had killed our new baby born sister.
My dad made a promised to my mom that he will never drink again! from that day on we became a normal family, those were the best years of my life! my mom got pregnant again and she had a beautiful and healthy baby girl (that will be my younger sis).
We were happy, we didn't have much but we had what we needed to live a normal life.

Then everything changed again! ten years after that promise my dad went back into drinking again…those days were terrifying days for all of us because my brothers and I were teens and my little sis was only 10 years old. I remember my mom saying "he is going back to who he really was…an alcoholic"
I remember been scared and not caring about school anymore, I remember thinking on looking for a job to support my mom and I'm sure that my older brothers were thinking about the same thing.
I remember my mom and I making paper flower to sell at the market place, my mom will go to the market place to sell the flowers and later she will come back with something to cook for dinner.

Now my dad was working all the time but when he started drinking he would even take two weeks off without saying anything to his boss and he will spend those two weeks drinking and spending the little money we had.

In 1983 my dad came to Jesus and he accepted Him into his life…it has been a great battle for my dad trying to stay sober, but now we had all moved out and I have been trying to make him see that only Jesus can cure him.
My dad is now 73 years old, he doesn't drink any more, he is taking care of my mother and what gives me peace in my heart is that I can see that he has taken the Lord more seriously.
My dad will never be the perfect dad, but I know for sure that God is in his life.

I love my dad and I pray that our Lord will bless him abundantly in every way!

Teach you little girls to stay innocent


My daughter and I went to the store to get an outfit for her 8th grade graduation 'Promotion', we were very disappointed to find out that everything the store has is way too reviling for her taste, she was very upset when she couldn't find a single nice top that didn't show too much cleavitch.
 It is very sad to see how the fashion industry is targeting girls at very young age and tv just makes it worse...that is way we monitor the few shows our kids watch.

Since I became Christian and learned right from wrong I'd been trying to teach people that modesty, morals, good principles are part of been a Christian and I'm not afraid to talk to my kids face to face about the truth and danger of alcohol, drugs, gambling, anorexia, sex, etc.

My husband and I are trying to raise our kids according to God's word, our kids know right from wrong and I pray that they will always make the right choices, always thinking of WJWD.

It is up to us parents to guide our children and to teach them God's word, that alone will protect them from the evil of this world.

God Bless our Troops


Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

God bless the fallen!  The one who gave their lives for our freedom.




 
Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war)

Rapture Day 5/21 !?!?!?

   


And God was the word and the word was God (John 1:1). He does what He says He will do. God never changes His mind. God's word is a writing stone. His word never changes because He IS the word.
The Bible is God's word and who ever believes what's written in the Bible is believing in Him. God used the men of the Bible to write His word and who ever changes his word will perish.

Now, if we read the Bible (God's word) we will know that the Bible tells us very specifically that there are things to come, signs that we'll see, and then we would know that time is at hand. God tells us that not even His son (Jesus ) knows the day or the hour of His coming, only the Father! (Mark 13:32)
If Jesus doesn't know when He will come to get us, why would  a human being know the day and the hour for the rapture?.…this is just being silly! and why would God give his word to this one guy when His own son doesn't even know!

We all know that the rapture is around the corner, many signs have been given to us already, but we still don't know the day or the hour (Romans 13:11-12)!

The Bible tells us to be prepared, to be ready, and to be watchful like a wife when she waits for her husband (Mark 13:35-37). Whether we like it or not, there are laws and rules that God has given to us to follow in order be close to Him and He won't depart from us:

-10 Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17)
-We need to walk with the Lord (John 8:12)
-Stay in the narrow path that leads to the narrow gate (Matthew 7:14)
-Do not put your selves in sinful situations (1 Corinthians 15:33-34)
-Do not  give your selves to this world (Romans 12:2)
-Do not lean on your own understanding (that never works) (Proverbs 3:5-7)
-Do not give up, Jesus is always with you (Matthew 28:18-20)
-Most of all believe and trust the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 13:13-14)

Who are we?



Who are you? And you? And you? We are Christian girls and women who play our roles in today's world as wives, daughters, mothers, grandmothers&emdash;in work or in the professional world, in the church, in school, at play and in all areas of society.

Whoever we are and wherever we are, let us remember that we must not hide our light under a bushel. All of our words and all of our actions must tell people that we are followers of Christ. We must be kind, helpful, unselfish, considerate, compassionate and loving to others in our walk of faith.
