Outreach in the community

We had the Mira Mesa fair today, the weather was great and people came to have fun.
This was a great opportunity for my church to reach out to people who are looking for some comfort in this world, we want to let them know that we are in this community and that we are whiling to help them.
It is always great honor to help and serve this way, our hope is that people can come and know that we are a family who can help them in everything we can.

Teach the whole truth and nothing but the truth

I heard a pastor saying that as longer Catholics agreed that Jesus is the son of God, they are on the right path.
I wonder if this pastor was right in answering this question just like that, without going deeper into God's word to help the questioner to understand that God requires more from us to be save.
I know what I'm saying, I was Catholic from the time I was born till I was 33 years old.
So lets ask the Bible what God's tells us about the following:

-What about the used of statues?...

Exodus 20:4
4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

-What about putting the virgin Mary before Jesus?

John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

-What about having many status of saints?

1 Kings 14:9
9 but you have done more evil than all who were before you, for you have gone and made for yourself other gods and molded images to provoke Me to anger, and have cast Me behind your back—
Hosea 13:2
Now they sin more and more, And have made for themselves molded images, Idols of their silver, according to their skill; All of it is the work of craftsmen. They say of them, “ Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!”

-What about confessing your sins to a priest waiting for his absolution?

1 John 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Colossians 1:14
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

-What about repeating the rosary many, many times?

Mathew 6:7
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

-What about celibacy for all priests and nuns

1 Corinthians 7:9

9 but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

I just want to know how much is too much to teach each other the true word of God.
We have a purpose in this life and that is to go all over the world to teach the true word of God, even if that means been caste out like a leper.

It's never too late

It is never too late to return to God, the enemy will try to make us believed that God won't take us back because we are bad and we don't deserve His love. God's word tell us that He will never forsakes us and that He will meet us wherever we are at.

Joe 2:12-14
12"Yet even now," declares the LORD,
"return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13and rend your hearts and not your garments."
Return to the LORD your God,
for He is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
    and He relents over disaster.
14
Who knows whether He will not turn and relent,
and leave a blessing behind Him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
   for the LORD your God?
