Lord Change our hearts ♥ ♥ ♥

Prayer Request for all of us...

Lord change our hearts that we might do Your will, and not satan's will.
Let us see our weakness and help us to walk with You instead of walking with the world.
Lord help us to be one body in Christ, that we might not be divided when the enemy comes to attack Your church.
Teach us Lord how to love one-another.
In Jesus mighty name...AMEN!

John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one-another.

Romans 13:8
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

-----

Can anybody tell me why "men" in general is separating from God?
I have noticed, that even within the church brothers are against brothers. How can we be one body to fight this great fight against satan, who is taking over our country?

I would like to see a revival when we all sing and praise God in one accord.
Let God renew what we had lost in our hearts and minds, pray for God to give you love for one-another, pray to God to take away the things of this world that are hindering your relationship with Him.

2 Peter 3:7
But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

There are way too many "Christians" these days that have two faces...the one they put-on at church...and the one they put-on for the world. Some of them are good at switching faces back and forth.
Is this the reason why satan is wining the battle in this world? are we the reason? are we that weak?

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

I hope for the day when we all read the word of God, and the Holy Spirit will live in us.
The day when we all put on the Armor of God and nothing will defeat us.
The day when instead of singing Kumbaya, we all will be fighting against a common enemy (satan).
The day when I say Jesus out loud, nobody will get offended, because we (Christians) had won the good fight.
The day when God is back in our court houses, and in the government.

History of the National Day of Prayer

bullet1775: The first day of prayer was declared when the Continental Congress "designated a time for prayer in forming a new nation."
bullet1783: "...the conclusion of the Revolutionary War marked a temporary end to the National Day of Prayer." 12
bullet1795-FEB-19: George Washington proclaimed a day of public thanksgiving and prayer.

1863-MAR-30: Abraham Lincoln signed a Congressional resolution of MAR-3 which called for a day of fasting and prayer durin the Civil War (1860-1865). 4
bullet1952-APR-17: A bill proclaiming an annual National Day of Prayer (NDP) was unanimously passed by both houses of congress. President Truman signed it into law. It required the President to select a day for national prayer each year.
bullet1972: The National Prayer Committee was created. It is an Evangelical Christian organization. The National Day of Prayer Task Force is a project of that committee.
bullet1988: A bill was introduced to Congress which fixed the annual NDP at the first Thursday in May. The Senate bill, S 1378, was introduced by Stron Thurmond (R-SC); a matching House version was initiated by Tony Hall, (D-OH). It received broad bipartisan sponsorship and support, and became Public Law 100-307. It was signed into law by President Reagan on 1988-MAY-5. He commented: "On our National Day of Prayer, then, we join together as people of many faiths to petition God to show us His mercy and His love, to heal our weariness and uphold our hope, that we might live ever mindful of His justice and thankful for His blessing."
bullet1993 to 1998: The concept of the NDP as a multi-faith event which recognizes the extensive diversity of religious expression in the U.S. was echoed by subsequent presidents in their proclamations. President Clinton has written:
bullet1993: "Through prayer our people take a moment away from the concerns of everyday life to understand the greater power that gives us guidance.  We come together in an act common to all religions.
bullet1994: "I encourage the citizens of this great Nation to gather, each in his or her own manner, to recognize our blessings, acknowledge our wrongs, to remember the needy, to seek guidance for our challenging future, and to give thanks for the abundance we have enjoyed throughout our history."
bullet1995: "I call upon every citizen of this great Nation to gather together on that day to pray, each in his or her own manner, for God's continued guidance and blessing."
bullet1996: "And though our citizens come from every nation on Earth and observe an extraordinary variety of religious faith [sic] and traditions, prayer remains at the heart of the American spirit."
bullet1997: "...let us uphold the tradition of observing a day in which every American, in his or her own way, may come before God seeking increased peace, guidance, and wisdom for the challenges ahead." 5
bullet1998: "In every city, town, and rural community across our country, people of every religious denomination gather to worship according to their faith. In churches, synagogues, temples, and mosques, Americans come together to pray." 9

bullet2001: The 50th National Day of Prayer was held on MAY-3. Its organizers estimate that about 2.5 million people attended the approximately 40,000 events across the U.S. Several representatives of American Atheists protested at Andover, KS, city hall where one event took place. They objected to the apparent violation of the principle of church and state which occurred when the religious meeting was held in a government building.

Chairperson Shirley Dobson stated that all of the state governors recognized the NDP this year. In the year 2000, Jesse Ventura of MN had refused to sign a declaration on constitutional grounds. He felt that it would have violated his oath of office which requires him to uphold the U.S. constitution. Pastor Phyllis Gregory stated that a prayer would be offered "the lost, those in sin, in need, living in lack and Cassadaga." The latter is a small town in Florida known for its Spiritualist camp. The camp president said that he didn't feel that they were lost souls, but welcomed the prayer anyway.
bullet2002: The National Day of Prayer Task Force reported that "...approximately 40,000 events were held nationwide. Local volunteers and coordinators held a variety of activities ranging from prayer breakfasts, Bible reading marathons, concerts of prayer, rallies, church prayer vigils, student flagpole gatherings and observances held in sports stadiums." 8 President George W. Bush stated in his proclamation that the two purposes of the NDP were: "...to reaffirm the role of prayer in our society and to honor the religious diversity our freedom permits..." 9
bullet2003: The National Day of Prayer was held on MAY-1. It coincided with three other celebrations:

bulletInternational Workers' Day, recognizes the contribution by workers throughout the world. It is recognized in almost every country except the United States, Canada, and South Africa.
bulletThis will be the first annual observance of the National Day of Reason. Future celebrations will also be scheduled the first Thursday in May. It is a response to the National Day of Prayer by various Humanist, Agnostic, Atheist, and other secular groups. It is intended to support those Americans who do not believe in a personal male deity who listens to prayer and responds to it.
Dr. Luis Palau, an internationally-known Fundamentalist pastor wrote a prayer for the NDP. The NDPTF encourages Americans to recite this prayer at noontime on MAY-1 local time.
bulletSome interesting notes about NDP for 2003-MAY-01:
bulletAlmost all events were located at or sponsored by conservative Christian churches and/or are led by conservative Christian pastors. There are a few exceptions; most involve Presbyterian or Methodist pastors or churches.
bulletA few events emphasized that everyone in the community is welcome to attend.
bulletThere was at least one Jewish NDP event. It occured in Arizona.
bulletThere was at least one ecumenical Christian NDP event in Texas and three in Florida led by conservative Pastors, mainline Protestant ministers and Catholic priests.
bulletIn some cities, including Munci IN, a pair of NDP events were held: one for conservative Christians, and the other for persons of all faiths, including conservative Christians. Pastor William Keller, president of the Delaware County Evangelistic Association organized the exclusively conservative Christian event in Munci. He expressed concern that "My people wouldn't come to a meeting that is an inter-faith event." 10
bullet2004: According to the NDPTF web site: "In 2004, approximately 40,000 events were held nationwide. Local volunteers and coordinators held a variety of activities ranging from prayer breakfasts, Bible reading marathons, concerts of prayer, rallies, church prayer vigils, student flagpole gatherings and observances held in sports stadiums." 11 It is not known whether this is an estimate of the NDP events that it coordinated, or whether it is an estimate of the total number of NDP events across the U.S.
bullet2005: Americans United for the Separation of Church and State organized a truly inclusive NDP event in Oklahoma City, OK, for Christians, followers of other religions, and persons who followed no religion. A similar inclusive event was scheduled in Troy, MI, and probably in other locations.
bullet2006-MAY-04: The theme is "America, Honor God."
bullet2007-MAY-03: According to Shirley Dobson, chairperson of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, the theme for the 56th annual National Day of Prayer is "America, united in prayer." It comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV): "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Jesus is Alive!!!!

Mark 16

He Is Risen
1 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. 2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.
6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. 7 But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”
8 So they went out quickly[a] and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
Mary Magdalene Sees the Risen Lord

9 Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. 11 And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
Jesus Appears to Two Disciples

12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. 13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.
The Great Commission

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.[c] Footnotes:

Do we know what Good Friday means?

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the [life] which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

2 Corinthians 13:4
For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

-----
I don't understand why it is so hard for us to grasp what Jesus crucifixion means.
We will never know how painful and degrading it was for Jesus to go  through the agony of dying for us.
Like the song says....
♫ ♪ We'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that Cross ♫ ♪
And here we are, taking that pain for granted, not seeing it for what really is.
Many of us came to Christianity with an open heart and much excitement, hungry for the word of God, but
through out the years we became custom to the word of God, we thought that we knew it all, got too comfortable  with it and got our guard down, we started listening to the world instead of the Word of God,
we lost our ways down the road.

I've heard many Christians say "we are save anyways" or "God will forgive me because He loves me"
that is all true, but that only shows how Selfish that person is, and how little love and respect that person has for what Jesus went through when He died on the Cross for us.

We should live our Christian life as if we were in a race running to win a prize, not letting anything make us stumble on our way to "the judgment seat of Christ". Yes, Jesus will reward us with a crown.

1 Corinthians 9:25
And everyone who competes [for the prize] is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a perishable crown, but we [for] an imperishable [crown].

Do you want to come in First place or Last?

Then, take your time to confess your sins and start bowing to Jesus for all He has done for your Salvation, live the life He wants you to live...Don't be a mediocre Christian. Be a full of the Holy Spirit Christian.

Here is a video for you to remember what Good Friday is all about...sorry if you don't like to see blood, but this is a movie that shows how the "Blood of our Salvation" was obtained.
