Are you a doer of the word?

Are you a doer of the word? or just a hearer?

Luke 6:46
"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?
Luke 6:47
Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
Luke 6 :48
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. [fn]
Luke 6:49
But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. [fn] And the ruin of that house was great."

When you are a new born again, you become a new person. The old you have passed away and all things had become new. Now that you are new, God dwells in you.
When you were save you became a child of God and the laws were giving to you.
Your priority now, is to read the word of God and follow His Commandments.
When God is in you, you will shine and everything around you will prosper (not an a worldly way, but in God's way)
Been a doer means that you will live a Godly life...how do you do that?
By living the word of God, lets see what God said to Joshua when he took over the leadership of Israel after Moises die...

Joshua 1:8
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

God will bless you aboundingly, when you follow His Commandments.
We are living in a sinner world, that everything that is wrong in God's eyes is right in the world's eyes. This is the reason why God wants us to be a doer of His word, because His word has power and is a shield that save us from the enemy's lies...most of us Christians fall short of God's grace, simply because the foundations of our house are not built on the rock but in soft ground.
I don't like when Christians give this lame excuse "I'm only human" this is not a good excuse  if you are a new born Christian. As we sin daily, we need to take responsibility of our actions, this is the only way we can get free of the chains of slavery that hold us against our Lord and Savior.
If we try to live the same way Jesus lived His life, we'll know for sure that God is please with us and no matter how strong the winds are, our houses won't come down.
